Interview of Andy Page, owner of SpoilerTV

Today is great day for us. with the launch of Blogger's Network  we are starting starting a project that's very important for a blogger. We are too excited to post the first Interview on our blog and the interview is of one of the most popular blog on TV SpoilerTV.com

Andy is a friendly person and talking to him i never felt that he is such a huge blog owner, where most of the blogger's don't talk to simple bloggers, but Andy is very humble. His blog http://www.spoilertv.com/ is a huge blog that covers everything on TV.
I got a chance to interview Andy Page (DarkUFO), i asked him some questions about his blog and blogging career. You would love reading this interview of Blogger Andy Page, owner of SpoilerTV.

Interview

Here's the interview. I asked him 13 Questions and he answered them all very smartly, the questions are very simple because what would i ask questions to someone who don't need any introduction, he is my idol.

1.Tell us about yourself, basic introduction.

Name is Andy and I’m 42 and run SpoilerTV (www.spoilertv.com) and DarkUFO Blogs (darkufo.blogspot.com). I’m also a Top Contributor for Googles Blogger System. I play cricket and golf and I’m a supporter of the Arsenal Football Team.

2.What inspired you to start a blog/website ?

I started running a blog dedicated to the TV Show LOST (darkufo.blogspot.com). It was a great way to collate and post all the information about the show.
3.Why did you choose Blogger as your blogging platform ?

It was the first system I used. I’ve never looked back and in hindsight it was a great decision.
Blogger is great as a CMS as it has unlimited Bandwidth and Space, is virus free and is pretty never down as they have a massive CDN. The only downside is that it is quite hard if you’re not a HTML/CSS to get the site to work how you like.
And the best thing.. it’s TOTALLY FREE :)
4.How you managed to create SpoilerTV such an interesting blog site?

Lots of hard work and having a great team of people to help me.
5.When did your first heard about Blogger and Blogging ?

Probably back around 2006 and I started using it myself around 2007.
6.When you were new to blogging, do you thought about money or fame ?
Neither. I just wanted a place where I could post photos, videos and articles about LOST. It was only later that we started to add advertisments to the site to help pay for competitions, our Forum and Gallery Server
7.What was your first post on spoilerTV was about ?
I think it was a simple “Welcome message”
8.What amount of time you spend on managing your blog ?
During the busy TV Season (Sept-May) around 8 hrs a day. During the summer months about 3-4 hrs.
9.If you are offered $50M, will you sell your blog SpoilerTV ?
Yes :)
10.What social network you like the most Facebook, Google+ or Twitter ?
They are all very different. We use Twitter to keep our readers alerted of any new posts, and site news. I don’t use Facebook much anymore and spend more time of G+.
11.Your fans would like to know daily pageviews of SpoilerTV,i want to know too !

It varies a lot depending on the Day and time of year. During the busy periods we average around 200,000 hits per day. During the quieter times about 75,000-100,000.
Here are the page hits for the last 30 days

12.What advice you want to give to other bloggers who are still far away from success.

Depends what you mean by “success”. The majority of Blogger just blog because they enjoy doing so and don’t worry about “success”. Simply enjoy what you are doing and work hard.
Building a successful blog takes a lot of work and time. Be patient and don’t give up.
13.Would you post this Interview link on your blog for your fans to see this ?
We’ll post it on the G+ Page

I think the first interview on our blog is very interesting as Andy's fans would love reading this, they would get to know more about Andy.

We want to thank Andy for giving us an opportunity to take his interview.
